Gromduro is GO, GO, GO
Cumberland, Northern lights.
It’s Stokefest MTB weekend everybody. Kicking off with the bloc party on Friday evening at Gravity garage and 3rd and the Gromduro rolls on Saturday morning. The kiddo’s will get their taste of racing where everyone’s a WINNER. Trails in use will be the Skills Quarry, 2&4Pack with climb trails being After School connector, Spanker and 6Pack. Please note 6Pack will be closed for down traffic from 9am to 11am, on Saturday morning to be used as an event climb trail. (Trail signage and Marshalls will be present).
Enjoy a fun filled weekend of riding bikes and get to the Jump Jam, and Dodge dirt diaries movie night as part of the Stokefest festivities. Whoo hoo, be in it to win it.
UROC had a great presence at the MTB Symposium this last few days. The subject was stewardship and we enjoyed sharing 3 days with BC’s mountain bike fraternity and leadership. Hosted by Mountain Bike Tourism Association. Our goal is to make mountain biking more accessible, more inclusive, and more sustainable while delivering key social and economic benefits to our communities and destinations.

There’s a new trail in the network. At the crest of Ridge climb you’ll find a turn off to the recently completed ‘Alfredo’.
To compliment the existing Italian dinner trails and last years installation of Gelato, Alfredo connects into the recently tuned Garlic bread on to Gelato, and Buckrub. Not forgetting the works done on Ogopogo to deliver you to the Eastern Block. The vision was to navigate and connect trails around the east side of Nikkei while also overhauling existing trails in the entire line around the mountain. Completed by Al, Ian and Gordon with help from many other trail building volunteers and UROC. Thanks goes to @mosaicforests for supporting these new trail developments and for acknowledging the unrelenting passion and drive by our trail building community.
