UROC Trail Maintenance Committee – Call for new members!

The United Riders of Cumberland (UROC) are looking for two new members to join the Trail Maintenance Committee. This is a volunteer committee that allows interested individuals to provide input and recommendations into UROC trail maintenance work. The committee also helps to organise and implement public Trail Maintenance Day events throughout the year.

Members of the committee must be current UROC members, have some knowledge of the Cumberland trail network and some experience with trail building or maintenance. Members will serve a 2 year term, and are expected to attend five to seven meetings per year, as committee goals require. This is a terrific opportunity to engage with the work that UROC does and help provide feedback and recommendations about the work that happens on the Cumberland trails.

Those who are interested in joining the Trail Maintenance Committee are encouraged to review the detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) here for more information about the Trail Maintenance Committee including its mandate, roles and responsibilities, and scope.

Once you’ve taken a look at the TOR, please take 5 minutes to complete a short form at the following link by March 18 to tell us more about yourself! The UROC Board of Directors will appoint new members to the committee based on their knowledge and experience with respect to the Cumberland trail network, trail building and maintenance, as well as the considering the composition of the committee with respect to user group representation. Decisions Appointment of new members is expected by late mid-April.
