Kaden is an absolute shredder, and with his super mom they decided to ride every single trail in the Cumberland network before year end! That’s 209 trails all in and a lot of planning and pedaling to complete this awesome challenge. On top of this, Kaden has entered every mountain biking race he can in the 2024 calendar, mostly in the u19 category. Given that Kaden is 12 yrs old to win multiple podiums and consistently place top 10 is another feat of excellence and adventure on his bike. Congratulations Kaden and Mom, your biking prowess is inspiring.
We asked Kaden a few questions about his 209 trail experience.
1. Which was your favorite trail. Roughneck top to bottom is so fun.
2. Which trail had you not ridden before that you want to go back to. Probably Popper and Garlic Bread.
3. Do you have a favorite line, what is it? I really like going up and doing Sphagnum to the end then up to middle and lower Roughneck.
4. What distance was your longest ride? Probably when we did the Gravity 9’s in 1, about 42 kms and got to tick off a few trails we hadn’t ridden yet this year.
5. What bike did you ride through out and how many punctures did you get? I’m riding a super fun Santa Cruz Bronson. Only 1 gashed tire all year!
6. What’s your favorite story from your 209 trail adventure. Just so many fun moments, hard to pick one. But night riding this fall was really fun, exploring and seeing some new trails in the dark.

There’s yet another crazy weather system heading our way and it’s called a Cyclone Bomb. The forecast shows cyclone weather on Tuesday, pushing into Wednesday. Major rain and very high winds are expected. Being in the forest will be very dangerous. For safety reasons please refrain from using the trails during these major wind and rain events. Please spread the word and share.

Here’s a great story about United Riders of Cumberland, the Village of Cumberland, and two forestry companies came together to create a forest access partnership. As a result of nearby forestry activities, URoC had the opportunity to access the forest and build a burgeoning new local mountain biking industry. Get your 2021 membership or donate here.
