Over the past several days UROC has constantly been monitoring the Covid-19 outbreak collecting careful direction and professional advice from the decision-making experts directly responsible to the Comox Valley.

UROC has received clear direction for the community of Cumberland and the Comox Valley Regional District, the UROC members and all the users of the Cumberland trail network.

Learn the fundamentals of trail maintenance and construction from Mark Wood, of Trail Holistics. Topics covered include layout, design, realignment & repair, hazard & structure assessment, trail standards and classification, gradient, climbing trails, corners and switchbacks. Includes a classroom session, a field session, and a practical trail construction project.

UROC 2020 Annual General Meeting

Hello UROC current, past and future members,

It is once again time for our Annual General Meeting. The meeting will include a review of previous years accomplishments, a financial report, and board elections, amongst  other announcements. The formal aspects of the AGM will be followed by an open house and social (including beer by donation).

United Riders of Cumberland Welcomes Dougal Browne as Executive Director

The United Riders of Cumberland (UROC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dougal Browne as the non-profit’s Executive Director.

Dougal joins the team with an outdoor sport and recreation background including business development, print and electronic media, and sales and marketing for industry, as well as non-profit voluntary work and extensive trail building experience.
